Electrical Test & Tag Services

Essential safety at a cost effective rate

If you are in business – either commercial premises, retail premises or offices, then every electrical item needs to be regularly tested for electrical safety. Testing and tagging of electrical items is one way to help protect your staff, clients and visitors to your premises.

Read more about why your business needs to test and tag

Our electrical test and tag services include:

  • Visual inspection of each appliance, extension lead and power board to identify issues
  • Testing with our appliance tester
  • Tagging of the appliance with details of the test and the next due test date
  • Recording of each item tested

We can also test your emergency lighting and safety switches to offer a complete electrical safety check for your business.

Test and tag registers are presented as a comprehensive, easy to follow excel spreadsheet file. We put your test and tag schedule dates into our system and contact you before your items are due, to ensure that you remain compliant with your OH&S requirements. We have the same process for exit/emergency light testing.

We also offer a lighting maintenance and electrical safety check service, where we can come to your business on a programmed basis and check your lighting, safety switch function, smoke detector function (includes battery replacement), switch board condition, and physically check the operation and condition of all power outlets at your installation.

These two services can be offered individually or as part of an integrated, programmed electrical maintenance and safety solution for your business. Any repairs needed can be carried out on the spot, or programmed in for a time that suits your business needs. AND …. we can be there when things go wrong, with our breakdown response service.

As accredited “green electricians” under the Master Electricians energy efficiency program, we can also carry out an energy efficiency audit at your place of business and suggest strategies to reduce your power consumption and save money.
