Apprentice Ben wins Electrical Trades Apprentice of the Year 2008 at East Coast apprenticeships's 20 year Anniversary Awards Night! Bruce and Chris are very proud to announce Ben our apprentice has won his trade category in East Coast Apprenticeship's Awards Night. Ben shows a high level of achievement in his studies, and his hand skills are exceptional. His customer relations skills show how well he has adapted to the electrical trade and our section of it, the service industry. He is comfortable discussing work with any customer he deals with, and shows courtesy and common sense at all times. Well done Ben! His award won him not only a nice wall plaque and tropy, but a great selection of trade tools from Total Tools (thank you very much gents!) No excuses about leaving the battery drill at home now Ben. Wombat Electrical and Safety Inspection Services awarded East Cost Apprenticeships "Finalists in Host Employer of the Year 2008" Bruce and Chris were also very pleased to recieve medals in the category of "Host employer of the Year 2008". In achieving this it reinforced our aim of teaching the trade to other young people, our future tradespersons.
A special welcome to our various work experience and prevocational students. Both Wombat Electrical and Safety Inspection Services are currently helping between them many students gain valuable trade experience, and in doing so we have reached the point where we have no further vacancies for some time for student intake. After a large amount of enquiries, we would like to encourage potential work experience students to ask again later in the year when our current batch of "newbies" have gotten their wings and left the nest! Tradesmen On Time would like to thank the various schools and technical colleges we deal with for the opportunity to introduce these students to the electrical trade. Without new interest in the trade, we would not get the apprentices we so badly need in the electrical industry. |
