Have you got a smoke detector? What, no? Then fear not about being in trouble just because you are not complying with the new smoke detector requirements, because we can help. We can supply top of the range photoelectric or ionization type detectors installed in your premises at a very reasonable cost. We can also clean and test your current detectors, and replace any batteries that are required. Yep, even 240 volt smoke detectors generally have a backup 9 volt battery, which should be changed annually (1st April, "don't be a fool for fire" reminder by the Fire Brigade, but you can change them whenever so long as it is annually). We can - come and clean / test / replace batteries in up to 2 smoke detectors,
- do a visual inspection of accessible electrical fittings,
- check switchboard condition and M.E.N link and installation polarity

A special welcome to our various work experience and prevocational students. Both Wombat Electrical and Safety Inspection Services are currently helping between them five students gain valuable trade experience, and in doing so we have reached the point where we have no further vacancies for some time for student intake. After a large amount of enquiries, we would like to encourage potential work experience students to ask again later in the year when our current batch of "newbies" have gotten their wings and left the nest! Tradesmen On Time would like to thank the various schools and technical colleges we deal with for the opportunity to introduce these students to the electrical trade. Without new interest in the trade, we would not get the apprentices we so badly need in the electrical industry. |
